Dedicated to the past, present, and future of railway signaling and the safe movement of rail vehicles on railroads and transit systems
What is TSROSS?
The society was started by a few rail professionals (active or retired) with an interest
in preserving the history of railway signaling and related safety developments. The
archives that are maintained and information gathered is for the benefit of anyone with
similar interests. The available information includes recent data covering maglev, PTS and
PTC, and CBTC, and regular updates of rail safety studies and rulings, including data from
the Federal Register, NTSB, FRA, FTA, IRSE, and AREMA.
This web page will be updated on a regular basis as we are able to provide related information to assist anyone looking for information in this area. All information provided is meant to be objective, without personal assumptions or editorials except where stated as such. The sources for news and even many reference materials have been found to contain errors quite often, so multiple validation is attempted for many items, when appropriate.
